About Us
The Fishing Quarter is run and managed by Brighton Seafront Heritage Trust.
The Fishing Quarter is leased with support from Brighton and Hove City Council. The Trust sublets some of the arches and beach huts to the businesses within the quarter and it is the income generated from this that pays for the museum to exist.
However, we also rely on the gallery and now the Old Net Loft to supplement our income, as well as the gratuitous donations from the public to help maintain and restore the properties we occupy.
As volunteers, we aim to provide a heritage foundation in the museum and an insight into the history of the seafront. The Fishing Quarter and Museum is a place to find some quiet respite from the crowds that descend to the beaches to visit some of our neighbouring attractions.
Should you wish to donate we would very much welcome it as the maintenance and restoration is a constant project for which we rely on outside funding.
You can donate by clicking the Donate Here button or popping in to see us as we have a donation box and a tap and go machine for contactless payments just inside the museum.
